Christopher Boggs

Christopher J. Boggs is the Director of Education with Insurance Journal’s Academy of Insurance. With more than 21 years insurance and risk management experience, Boggs’ background includes loss control, insurance production, consulting, teaching, as well as researching and writing articles, white papers, and books on property and casualty insurance.


International Risk Management Institute's (IRMI's) The Risk Report, Standard Publishing, RIMS' Risk Management magazine, the American Public Power Association magazine, and several CPCU’s Risk Management Interest Group publications have all featured Boggs’ articles.


Boggs has also written several insurance-relate books, these include:

A graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Boggs has obtained nine insurance designations: the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM), Legal Principles Claims Management (LPCS), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Associate in Premium Auditing (APA), Certified Workers’ Compensation Advisor (CWCA), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), and the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designations.
 

Maureen Gallagher

Maureen Gallagher is the Michigan Profit Center Leader and Real Estate and Workers Compensation Brands Leader in the 24th largest US broker, Neace Lukens, an Assured Partners company. Neace Lukens specializes in insurance placement, risk management and consulting. Her passion for education inspired her in 2003 to establish Insurance Partners Academy, an educational company, where she serves as Director. Gallagher previously held the position of President and CEO of Acordia of Michigan (Wells Fargo), assuming that position after heading up her own agency, Gallagher Group, Inc., for more than ten years.


She has been featured and profiled in numerous publications, and was named by Crain’s Detroit Business as one of the “Best and Brightest” and as one of “Detroit’s Most Influential Women.” Risk and Insurance recognized Gallagher as a “Power Broker” which indentifies the best brokers in the country. In addition, Liberty Mutual honored Gallagher with the “Responsibility Leader Award” awarded to those insurance professionals that have demonstrated a commitment to their organization, profession and community. Business Insurance named Gallagher as one of their “Women to Watch” in 2011 and she has consistently made the Chairman’s Club each year which recognizes $1 million + producers.


Gallagher is a Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC), Licensed Claims Adjuster (LCA), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Workers Compensation Professional (CWCP), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Workers Compensation Advisor (CWCA), Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and Certified Integrated Leave Management Administrator (CILMA).


A frequent lecturer and presenter, Gallagher is also on the teaching faculty for the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Gallagher is a member of the American Bar Association and the Society of Trainers and Educators and is the creator of the Property Risk and Insurance Specialist (PRIS) and the Certified Workers Compensation Counselors (CWCC) certification programs.


Despite all the time and effort Gallagher spends in helping others through program development, professional development, wellness, and charity work, she is a top performing producer placing in the top 3% of all producers in Neace Lukens each year.


An avid long-distance runner, cyclist, swimmer, competitive stair climber and certified exercise instructor Gallagher was named one of the “50 Fittest CEOs” by Crain’s Detroit Business. She participates in Triathlons and will attempt her first Ironman in 2012.
