Eric Wiening, CPCU, ARM, AU, AAI, API is an author, educator, and consultant who has directly contributed to the professional development of well over 250,000 students of insurance and risk management. He began the next chapter in his life when he took his first retirement in June, 2003, leaving his position as assistant vice president and ethics counsel after twenty-six years with the American Institute for CPCU.

Now working independently as an insurance and risk management author, educator, consultant, and college professor, he is eager to work with organizations that might need his services. He is a knowledgeable insurance technician and author with special experience in the design and development of educational programs. His areas of specialty are insurance principles, coverages, practices, and ethics. He is known as a lively speaker and an incurable punster.
