Kathy Ryan

Kathy Ryan is President and founder of Pinnacle Coaching Group LLC, a coaching and consulting company committed to helping organizations and individuals in the insurance industry reach new heights in professional development.


Kathy is an accomplished coach, facilitator, trainer, and author with more than 25 years of Human Resources Management and Training experience to her credit. She spent 13 of those years in the insurance industry working with Chubb & Son, Inc. This experience gives her a unique awareness of the leadership and management challenges insurance professionals encounter. 


Known for her unyielding commitment to honesty and integrity in leadership, Kathy is recognized as an expert in the areas of leadership development and effective communication. She designs and facilitates training programs that help individuals develop core behaviors and skills that are the foundation for building trust and influence with others. As a coach, Kathy works one-on-one with individuals to help them maximize their potential and eliminate any limiting behaviors that may be sabotaging their success. 


A Dickinson College graduate, Kathy received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and furthered her formal coaching education graduating from Coach U, the oldest coach training institute in the country. She has expertise in a variety of feedback tools used to build teamwork and increase self-awareness, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DISC and 360° Instruments.


In 1995, Kathy earned her Lifetime Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM's highest honor. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and is active in the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce. 


Kathy is the author of the forthcoming book You Have to Say the Words: Practical Advice for Every Leader on How to Have the Tough Conversations and co-author of The Baby Boomer’s Handbook for Women. She has written for a number of publications on the topic of leadership and personal growth and is author of the blog Inspired leadership at www.coachkathyryan.com.
