Steven Walker currently serves as Sales and Marketing Director for Polestar and has been serving as a Polestar Coordinator, Facilitator and Coach since 2007.

He is also the Founder and Principal with the recently formed Walker & Associates, a business and consulting services firm specializing in business services, sales training and consulting services focusing on the insurance industry and related businesses. He has a passion for demonstrating the value of relationship development and client focused business practices.


With over thirty years of insurance industry experience, Steven has worked hard to develop a track record of successful agency and sales management results. His career started in the agency side in both property and casualty, as well as, life and health. He continued into the excess and surplus lines business with a national wholesaler. Steven focused on employee benefits as he progressed into program business within the hospital and agricultural industries while working for two non-profit trade associations. Most recently he was responsible for client retention and organic sales growth with a large national broker.


A long time advocate of total account selling, Steven encourages businesses to focus on relationship development and client partnering to achieve successful sales results coupled with high client retention. This culture is one that needs to be included in company vision statements and communicated and reinforced among all levels of employees.


Steven has been actively involved in community and church, having served as the President of the Orange County-based Centennial Farm Foundation and as a trustee with the Capistrano Valley Christian Schools board.


Steven currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, Ann, and has three grown sons and four grandchildren.
