The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) is making a major change to the calculation of the experience model for the first time in 20 years. The split point between primary and excess losses will begin to change in 2013 and is scheduled to change every year going forward.

This class is intended for any agent who works with risks that are experience rated by NCCI or independent bureaus that rely on NCCI for rate making. During this class, Kevin Ring, Lead Workers' Compensation Analyst for the Institute of WorkComp Professionals will discuss many important pieces of the Work Comp Model.

Participants will learn:

  • Why the split point is changing
  • What this change means to your clients
  • How you can capitalize on this event to bring clarity to your prospects and score the business.
  • What might lie ahead for the model
