Coverage cases are as varied as the people and entities our industry insures.  Join us for a fast-paced one-hour as we discuss five of the most significant coverage cases in the last 12 months. There's something for everyone in this webinar.

We'll examine a commercial lines marijuana coverage case from Colorado and a personal lines decision on "household" from Indiana.  In between, we'll examine a construction dispute gone right (or wrong, depending on perspective); the vexing problem of concurrent causation and proximate cause; and, the status of coverage for liquor liability issues. At every turn, we'll discuss the industry significance of the decision going forward.

Participants will learn:

  • How traditional insurance policies might respond to claims in the marijuana industry;
  • What is a "household" for purposes of a personal lines policy;
  • How early settlements in construction cases can be problematic from an insurance perspective; and
  • Some of the ongoing concerns with the liquor liability exclusion.
