Instructor Kevin AmrheinKevin Amrhein

This is a first for the Academy of Insurance. We have partnered with Kevin Amrhein and the Florida Insurance School - CE to bring you courses that are available to Florida licensees for CE credit. This session will be recorded, but CE is only available by attending the live session.

Insuring condominiums is complicated. There are association policies. There are unit owner policies. Today, there are mixed occupancies where some of the units are occupied by the unit owner as a residence, some are occupied by a unit owner as a business, and others are rented out for long or short term rentals. Join Kevin as he teaches insurance professionals about these complications and brings out some solutions to handle them.

This course will review common concerns with insuring condominiums such as property covered, how limits are determined, loss assessments and liability claims. We'll then discuss the growing rental market for condominiums as well as other types of home ownership. We'll review how home insurance companies have responded to such demand by limiting coverage in common policies.
