BAP Coverage Symbols: There's Gold in Them There Numbers
We bet you can guess the focus of this session. No, it’s about BAP coverage symbols. Although the Coverage Symbols are a “basic” of business auto coverage, there is actually a lot of key information in the symbols. Beyond the gold in the Coverage Symbols, the last part of this session focuses on coverage for Trailers, a very common coverage question.
Join us as Chris Boggs helps make Coverage Symbols crystal clear and you'll find the gold in this session.
The Easy Questions No One Asks (Including YOU), And What Happens When You Don't
In this session Chris Boggs talks about key underwriting questions no one asks (or thinks to ask) and what happens when you don’t. For instance, “Who owns the building?” You might think that's an easy one. We think it's obvious that the insured owns the building, but what happens at claim time when it is finally discovered that the insured doesn't own the building, and another corporation owns the building? How's that claim going to be paid? This is the sort of question that we're dealing with in this session.
Evolution of Policy Language that Can Get You Sued
One agent's renewal business is another agent's new business. this is one of the ideas that Fred Fisher will bring out in this class. Fred will bring out the nuance in insurance policy language that is giving insureds trouble when there is a claim, and he will help us to understand how and why to review clients' policies as if they are new business so that we can know how the policy reads, and how that will impact the client.
Digital Marketing and AI
AI, generational changes, and time are all telling us that what worked in marketing 10 years ago may not resonate with today's buyers. Join us as Academy expert on all things digital, Tom Wetzel as he helps us to understand what's working, what's not, and what we can do about it when it comes to digital marketing.
D&O Coverage for Public Investigations
According to legaldictionary.net, a subpoena is:
- A legal document ordering a person to appear in court, or to provide the court with specific documents.
- A legal document summoning a witness, or ordering the submission of evidence, before a court or other investigative body.
When your insured carries a D&O policy, that subpoena may trigger coverage for defense costs, at least, that's what they hope. Join us as Joe Harrington helps us to understand how a public investigation might be covered by D&O policies.
Insurance: Approved for Recreational (Vehicle & Watercraft) Use
This course reviews several exposures associated with various recreational vehicles and watercraft. The course will review common ISO policy language that addresses exposures and the options agents may have to close the gaps.
Working with E&S Carriers: A Primer
One of the struggles that agents have in a hard market is finding markets for risks that they traditionally didn't have a problem placing. That's where the E&S market can come to play. In this session, Joe Harrington brings his perspective on the challenges that come along with working with E&S carriers, including the need to work through a broker and those pesky non-standard policy forms.
